Frequently Asked Questions

Any cancellation must be made at least 24 hours (1 day) prior to the scheduled class date. There are no refunds, you will be able to reschedule up to two (2) times. Any untimely cancellation, or failure to reschedule or cancel will result in forfeiting 100% of your class fee.

Participants will need to bring a note pad and something to write with.

This is a 5-hour interactive course that incorporates a PowerPoint presentation, visual demonstrations and handling of firearms with Live Fire Training. 

This Basic Firearms Safety (BFS) course will include instruction on the safe handling, use, and storage of firearms, as well as secure storage and childproofing methods. The curriculum will also cover applicable Massachusetts firearms laws relating to possession, transportation, and storage, along with firearm operation and safe manipulation techniques. In addition, the course will provide suicide prevention and injury reduction education, instruction on the laws governing the use of force within the Commonwealth, and training in disengagement and conflict avoidance tactics. 

Upon completion of our course, you will receive your Mass State Certificate along with an LTC / FID application to be submitted to your local Police Department
